Modular UPS

UPS (uninterruptible power supply) provides an uninterruptible supply of power to the equipment in order to make it run smoothly without any kind of damage. Sometimes a sudden loss of power or voltage fluctuation in the data center, hospital, or any critical place can lead to several problems, such as damage in equipment, data loss, and in the case of hospitals it can be very dangerous for the patients. To continue the workflow smoothly people need an efficient and reliable UPS system. But what if in case the UPS system fails? What will happen to the connected critical equipment? Modular UPS Malaysia is a single solution for this problem

There are two things to increase the reliability of the ups. One is removing single points of failure and the second one is to add redundancy. Where a unit can be able to supply N+1 or N+X redundancy and also able to grow with the increased demands of power requirements, called a modular UPS. Module UPS system has unconnected components. The components work together as a whole system.

Sometimes a failure of a single UPS can cause a disaster that can damage other systems too. Numerous smaller ups modules and batteries can be united together to provide great reliability and great power protection similar to a large UPS with additional modules. Failure of a single module will not interrupt the whole work process. Modular UPS systems are based on a rack, including a battery cabinet at the bottom (sometimes in a separate rack). There are also modules located one above another. The modules are convertible and added in case of more power requirements.

The equipment, that is connected to a modular UPS remains safe during a fault. The possibility of failure gets reduced when a group of modules works together. In the case of failure of a power module the redundant module simply takes over. One can replace the faulty module without a loss of UPS backup and time. Modular UPS systems are generally chassis-based and help the equipment to grow power. The battery of the equipment can be able to add or increase the run time and capacity easily.

Generally, modular UPS systems are easier and also simpler to maintain. For being swappable the modules can be replaced or removed easily. The ongoing cost for the UPS is low because of its simpler servicing. Most importantly in case of any kind of fault, the maintenance and the servicing may take place during working hours without any disturbances, so there is no need to shut the UPS down.
